French Fuel Protests
Demonstrations in France over rising fuel prices are continuing to disrupt vehicles entering and exiting France. 400 people have been injured, officials say, as protests spilled into a fifth day.
The French interior ministry said that nearly 300 protesters were questioned, with 157 among them taken into custody. Some 288,000 people have taken part in these protests, the French ministry reports. The demonstrators, known as the “yellow vests”, have been setting up roadblocks across the country.
These protests are now having an impact on our transit times, and delays are expected whilst the remonstrations continue. We thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this matter and please be rest assured that, as always, we will continue to do our utmost in order to deliver your goods at the soonest opportunity.
