Lack of Trailers During Fruit Season

The Fruit season normally starts during November and can last until February. During this period the supermarkets tend to import large volumes of fruit and wine in preparation for the festive season and put a strain on levels of trailer availability and pricing.

We would therefore advise customers to make sure their consignments are available for collection at the beginning of the week and that orders are placed in advance where possible in order to avoid disappointment.

As one of the market leaders in driver accompanied trailers for the ceramics industry from the main tile, stone and slate producing areas of Europe, Spain in particular, we are still fully committed to running our services as before. However, we may be forced into having to use other forms of transport or experience slight delays whilst trailer availability is scarce during the run up to the Christmas period and just beyond. Doing so, may result in an extended transit times beyond our advertised Tier 1 and Tier 2 transit times of 5-7 and 7-10 days respectively.

This situation is fluid and equipment availability can change from day to day throughout the whole of this period, therefore if you have any questions or queries regarding the aforementioned, we ask you to contact your account handler who will be more than happy to assist with your service requirements.

We thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this matter and please be rest assured that, as always, we will continue to do our utmost in order to deliver your goods at the soonest opportunity.
