Suez Canal Delays

The MV Ever Given continues to block the Suez Canal after being blown off course by strong winds in the middle of a dust storm during the early hours of Tuesday 23.03.2021.

There are now long queues of vessels either side of the Suez Canal awaiting passage once the blockage is cleared.

The Suez Canal Authority has deployed Tug Boats and dredgers as part of the ongoing effort to refloat the vessel to allow transits to resume.

There is a risk that should delays continue vessels will be diverted around the Cape of Good Hope which will add several weeks to transits from Asia and India.

We are continuing to monitor this situation and are in contact with the carriers regarding this ongoing issue. Should your shipments be directly affected we will advise you accordingly.

If you have any questions regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact us.
