Storm Dennis

Storm Dennis is due to arrive in the UK over the weekend, this storm will bring more high winds and heavy rain.

Weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office to cover the entirety of the UK on Saturday and Sunday of this week

As with Storm Ciara, this will impact on all ports in the UK as crane and port operations will cease once windspeeds reach 45 mph.

Storm Dennis is not predicted to be as severe as Storm Ciara but will still have an impact on the logistical chain.

With these conditions forecast into next week there is a risk of ports closing as a result of this weather across the weekend and into the early parts of next week.

These closures may have an impact on deliveries and container restitution. Should your shipments be affected in any way we will update you as soon as possible.

The weathers warnings will be amended by the Met Office over the next few days, so we encourage all clients to monitor this situation.
