Tropical Cyclone Vayu

A Cyclone is due to make landfall in Northwest India on the morning of Thursday 13.06.2019 potentially causing delays to shipments out of the ports of Mundra and Mumbai.

Tropical Cyclone Vayu is expected to reach speeds of 75MPH meaning that it will be the strongest cyclone in the region for the last 10 years.

300,000 people are due to be evacuated from the coastal districts in the state of Gujarat where the cyclone is due to make landfall.

The storm is being described as ‘very severe’ and is predicted to progress along the coast of Gujarat state until the morning of Monday 17.06.2019.


This weather may have an impact on vessel sailings and connections.
